Movie Night

For those that find mountain climbing an interesting past-time, you need to watch "Touching the Void." The movie is half documentary with the actual pair of climbers, while the other half is a reenactment of thier climb. The documentary portion proves to you there is no "Hollywood" glitter in the movie and makes it seem more real with the actual climbers relating thier experiences. So when the trip takes a turn for the worse, leaving one man with a broken leg dangling over a cliff while his partner struggles to hold on, his partner has to choose to either fall with him, or cut the rope keeping them together. This is one movie that had me cringing and clutching my knee in sympathy. Better than a suspence/thriller, this movie is not to be missed -- but don't watch it before a romantic dinner.
